On July 30th, a friendship match between the US Southern California Chinese American Youth Water Polo Team and the Guangzhou Youth Water Polo Team was held at the swimming and diving halls at the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center. The Chinese team from Guangzhou and the team fromSouthern California delivered an exciting game. After the match, the two teams exchanged signed water polo balls as a gesture of friendship.
“We’re very grateful for the opportunity to come to Guangzhou and play in this fantastic match. We’d love to come back again,” said Enzo Bryden, a member of the U.S. Southern California ChineseAmerican Youth Water Polo Team. He noted that in the US, they don’t really exchange gifts after every single match, but here in Guangzhou, he came to understand the value of it— a lasting memory of the friendship match.
